How to play Big Boy

By the Big Boy team · Updated

Big Boy is a Roblox feeding and growth game: collect snacks, feed your little neighbor, and turn him into a giant. Your first feeding also opens your tiny bakery, so you can start earning Crumbs while you explore.

Your first snack

  1. Walk to a food stand. Start with Strawberry or Toast. You do not need to buy a snack with Robux.
  2. Choose Grab or the nearby Collect prompt. The snack goes into the Tray at the bottom of your screen. A new tray holds three snacks. If the stand is counting down, wait for it to finish preparing another one.
  3. Select a snack in your Tray. Click or tap its picture. The selected snack is highlighted.
  4. Walk close to your Big Boy and choose Feed. The snack leaves your tray, Big Boy grows, and you earn its Crumbs. Keep feeding to reach the next size milestone.

Use Roblox's movement and jump controls. On a keyboard, hold Shift to run; on a phone or tablet, tap Run to turn running on or off. Nearby prompts show the interaction control for your device.

Growth and Crumbs do different jobs

Growth is your Big Boy's progress toward larger sizes. Crumbs are the currency you spend on upgrades and earned items. Collecting a snack fills the Tray; feeding it is what awards its normal Growth and Crumbs.

You can also feed another player's Big Boy: that Big Boy receives the Growth, while you receive the snack's Crumbs. Recipe treats are different from ordinary stand snacks: they provide Growth but do not award feeding Crumbs.

Pick one useful next goal

Open Grow to compare Bigger tray, More snacks, and Faster refills. A bigger tray means fewer collection trips; stations open more food choices; preparation upgrades shorten the wait at a stand. Choose the next upgrade that suits how you like to play.

You can also find your new Crumb Jar, attempt a pantry escape for a pet egg, or try an obstacle course. For dances, tap Dress, then choose Emotes → Dances in the Style menu. Feeding and growing are free; the Shop contains optional purchases.

If a button will not work

Move closer to the stand or Big Boy, check that you have a snack selected, and read the short message above your Tray. Full means you need to feed something or make room; Locked means that food needs a More snacks upgrade.
